A Book Review:
Swimming to Antarctica by Lynne Cox

This book is the life story of Lynne Cox and her gritty determination as a long distance swimmer. She was a coldwater and long distance swimmer who set many records. Swimming to Antarctica was an intresting read. When Lynne describes her swims she is incredibly vivid and it is like the reader is swimming alongside her. The book covers her life from when she learned her passion from swimming on. She swam all over the world, often to bring countries together by her incredibly difficult swims. The reader gets to see different cultures from her eyes and struggle through Lynne's hardships with her. It was one of Sports Illustrated's Top Ten Books of the Year. I recommend it for all athletes but it is an enjoyable read for anyone.-Ginna
