Seventh graders finished The Ranger's Apprentice this week! It is an awesome novel! Some of the eighth graders also read it last year, and one even decided to dress as a ranger for Halloween. Above is a picture of Jack Dern in his Halloween costume - a Ranger! What a great costume, Jack!
If any of you 8th graders haven't read the novel, you should consider it. It is a fast-paced fantasy novel with themes that we can all relate to. If you read and liked Eragon, The Book of Three, or The Lord of the Rings, you will probably really enjoy The Ranger's Apprentice. Also, if you like it, there are at least six more in the series. A movie is being made at the moment although there we don't know when it will actually hit the theaters.
