Missoula Children's Theater came

to the 7th grade classroom to teach us about stage make up. What Fun!

7th Grade Language Arts: March 29 - April 2

Monday:

Discuss and go over the questions on Chapters 10 - 12.

Tuesday:

Final test on Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry

Wednesday:

Begin review of writing.

Thursday:

Continue writing.

Friday:

Writing.

Monday: Word study. Write a summary of Chapter 2. Discuss. Read Chapter 3 of Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.

Tuesday: Word Study. Answer questions on Chapter 3. Work in Computer lab on Kid2Kid project.

Wednesday: Word Study. Read Chapter 4. Vocabulary and comprehension questions on Roll of Thunder in morning. Go to Beauty and the Beast in the afternoon.

Thursday: Word Study! Computer lab to work on Kid2Kid projects.

Friday: Word Study. Quiz on Chapters 1 - 4. Read novel.

A Book Review:

Swimming to Antarctica by Lynne Cox

This book is the life story of Lynne Cox and her gritty determination as a long distance swimmer. She was a coldwater and long distance swimmer who set many records. Swimming to Antarctica was an intresting read. When Lynne describes her swims she is incredibly vivid and it is like the reader is swimming alongside her. The book covers her life from when she learned her passion from swimming on. She swam all over the world, often to bring countries together by her incredibly difficult swims. The reader gets to see different cultures from her eyes and struggle through Lynne's hardships with her. It was one of Sports Illustrated's Top Ten Books of the Year. I recommend it for all athletes but it is an enjoyable read for anyone.-Ginna
